New Tier 4 Structure Announced

North East Wales have today announced their new Football League structure for the eagerly anticipated 2020-21 season. Following recent news that Rangers missed out on Tier 3 football, the club can now look forward to the newly formed North East Wales Football League Premier Division.

There will be 41 teams competing across the divisions, 16 in Tier 4, 12 in Tier 5 and a Reserves League will cater for 13 teams. Tier 4 will be recognised as the North East Wales League Premier Division and Tier 5, the North East Wales League Championship.

Hawarden will be challenging alongside some recognisable clubs, in addition to some new opponents. The Premier Division will compromise of the following teams:

Acton FC
Brymbo Victoria
Castell Alun
Cefn Mawr Rangers
Chirk Town
Coedpoeth United
FC Queen’s Park
Greenfield
Halkyn & Flint Mountain
Hawarden Rangers
Johnstown Youth
Lex XI
Llangollen Town
Mynydd Isa Spartans
New Brighton Villa
Overton Recreational

In addition to the Premier Division, the club will also be competing in the newly formed Reserves Division. The competition will be hosting the following fellow reserves sides:

Cefn Mawr Rangers
Coedpoeth
FC Queen’s Park
Johnstown Youth
Lex XI
Llangollen Town
Llay Welfare Colts
Mynydd Isa Spartans
Overton Recreational
Ruthin Town Colts

The league are yet to announce a start date, but the club are looking forward to getting the new campaign underway and welcoming clubs and supporters to the Gladstone.
