First Team: November

There are only two scheduled games for the First Team in November, both seeing the side on their travels.

First up on November 4th is a trip to Gwydir Park to face Llanrwst United, then two weeks later it's a trip to newly promoted CPD Llannefydd.

Llanrwst currently sit third in the Ardal North West League having lost just once in their opening eight games this season. Last seasons fixture ended in a 7 goal thriller with the Rwsters narrowly coming out on top 4-3; an impressive second half display wasn't enough for Hawarden to share the spoils after seeing themselves 3-0 down inside 20 minutes.

I'm looking forward to this month's fixtures. It’s a short month of games for us with only 2 being scheduled in, both being away trips. We're hoping the weather doesn’t play a part in any further cancellations.

on the squad...
The squad is in good shape and the lads have been training really well. The atmosphere in the group is really positive, with the feel that results are just around the corner.
Generally, performances have been good of late and it won't be long until that equates to us getting a few more points on the board.

on new additions...
It's always healthy having good competition across the squad and we've managed to bring in a couple of quality additions in places we needed more competition. Hopefully we'll have those confirmed in time for this weekend, if not, the trip to Llannefydd.
