Comprehensive Performances All Round

With conditions perfect for playing football, we welcomed our local rivals Aston Park Rangers to the Gladstone.

Both squads have 3 teams which was ideal as no teams were sitting out. So, 3 games x 20 minutes for everyone was the order of the day.

We again split our squads into Comets, Hawks and Jets and got the games under way.

It was clear from an early stage that there was a huge gulf between the teams and this had to be managed by ourselves in the interest of the game.

We won all our 9 matches and scored over 100 goals, conceding very few.

Credit must go to the Aston Park manager Lee, who's enthusiasm and encouragement to their lads was fantastic throughout the fixture. They will only improve over the season and we look forward to playing them after Christmas.

As for ourselves, it was great to see all our lads get a run out and score plenty of goals
